ABOUT US
Our History

Agriview was founded in 1982 by Alan Murray.  Alan recognised at that time, that the many businesses competing in the rural equipment environment needed industry information and analysis.  So they could assess their market performance, market trends and the geographic orientation of the market in order to make their own informed decisions.

Early briefs for Agriview included those from major companies such as Elders and Dalgety, Clyde Industries (heavy automotive components), International harvester and Komatsu (construction equipment and diesel engines).  Agriview also worked on construction equipment markets with the Economist Intelligence Unit – an affiliate of the world famous London-based business journal.

In 2001, Alan Kirsten joined Agriview, bringing sales, marketing and administration experience from agribusiness leaders like Kubota and Massey Ferguson/AGCO to pioneer new methods in research and analysis.  Alan set about creating and implementing new systems to streamline the collection of sales and distribution data, market reporting, modeling and analysis.

This unique methodology and software makes the difference - it has been developed from the ground up to satisfy the clientele's particular demands.

The agency grew rapidly from its early form, with an ever-expanding client base that was eager for comprehensive and accurate information which was available exclusively through Agriview.

A major aliance for Agriview has been its link with the Tractor & Machinery Association of Australia (TMA).  Agriview has been providing a world class statistical reporting service to the TMA and its member companies for over 15 years.

Agriview developed and implemented the TMA's 'Specheck' machinery comparison service, firstly in printed form, and later in its current interactive computer based format.

In 2003 Alan Kirsten took over as owner and Managing Director of Agriview.  He is now spearheading the agency into exciting new territory in data collection methods, market research, analysis and interpretation, both inside and outside agribusiness and the industrial sector.

The company priorities have not changed over its evolution – our clients come first.
